reflash ??

I have a 2008 xb9sx totally stock, and I think it has the original ecm flash because the fan runs after shut off. My ? is do I have the bike reflashed to the latest factory update before tuning the bike this spring or leave alone and tune as is? I have a K&N filter and stock exhaust.Does anyone know the TSB number of the reflash so I can bring it to the dealer who already told me he didn't know of any reflash available.

I wouldn't know why you would need a reflash.

I wouldn't I have an 09 and haven't done it yet. I have never heard a single thing good about how the bikes run after reflashing.

I have read that the fan logic changed and acouple of other things and was wondering if people who had it done liked it or what exactly changed.Granted my ride only has 1700 miles on it but I do want to data log it with Tuner Pro and adjust where nessasary, but thought the most recent flash might help with some of the runability issues.

The reflash is suppose to help cool the bike while running and the fan operates faster or slower based on your speed, then shuts off when your bike shuts off. I don't mind the change definitely if it is suppose to help my bike. I have not had any issues as of now.I think the best part of the new flash is getting dumb people to stop asking you why your bike is still running lol. You don't need to reflash your ecm unless you do your exhaust also; the K&N is minor.

no problems with my xb12 after re-flash or the comfort kit. That's all I had to tell the dealer and they knew what it was.

I like it. shits off the fan when under 10-15 mph. comes on anything over that and if it s running hot.
