Removal of exhaust

So I'm a new owner of a 2005 buell xb9s and couldn't be more happy with the purchase. But I was riding it the other day and all of sudden it started making a loud popping noise so after some investigation I found its o2 sensor and the housing it screws into came off the exhaust pipe (the one located on back on engine). So I'm going to take it out but wanted to see what the easiest way is? It seems to be a pain in the ass.

Remove rear shock and fan and you can get to the rear bolts
