i've searched on here to see what others have done with the mounting holes for the passenger pegs, but i couldn't find anything, and i'm lazy. :D

i just pulled the pegs of my 09 Ss. has anyone put a bolt or something back in mounting hole or just leave them open? also, has anyone used these to possibly put something to hang a helmet on?

I just left them open. If I had a real low profile black or stainless cap head screw, I'd put that in there, but since it's out of sight, it's out of mind for me.

A bracket for hooking in a cargo web would be cool for that spot. I use the passanger peg bracket for that now.

I left mine open.

I've thought about mounting 12 inch round reflectors there, but decided against it.

does anyone know what size the bolts are for the passanger pegs? I don't have them and the dealer wants $3 a bolt and wont tell me what size so i can buy them at home depot.

bring in the old bolt to a home depot or hardware store and measure it. pitch and gauge. you should be set from there. i'm sure not even a buck out the door. good luck~

The only reason I'd put something in there is to keep road grit from getting in the holes. If you never plan to use the pegs again no big deal, but if you use them sometimes it'll save you from having to clean out the threads with a tap before you put the bolts back in. If you don't want something as bulky as a bolt, you can just get a plastic plug from home depot. This is the only picture I can find on their website, but they sell them in black and much skinnier.

You could also pick up some of these and just put some loctite on them since they obviously won't be tightening against anything. I couldn't find any pictures from the top, but they're the ones that still screw in with a hex key, but the head is flush...

Both are in those specialty drawers past the nuts and bolts. You know, those drawers where they hide all the metric stuff...

seatbelt! frickin never thought of that sniper, safety SHOULD come first. Im gonna have two catchers and a seatbelt?

One of the bolts hold your battery in place. mine started chewing into the sub frame from vibration. A lot of people don't realize that usually bolts are holding more than one thing.I'd put something in the hole fore sure.

I just used the shorter bolts and put them back in to hold the battery in place. works great and doesnt look like crap imo

Art, not on a 09 mate, the bolts do nothing but hold the pegs, atleast not on my Aussie spec one
