Hi Guys,
I'm new to the forum, could anyone give me some advise whether I need a ECM
upgrade with a Remus twin round 94mm exhaust for my XB9sx 2010.
The fellas at Harley Custom USA suggested the Powerizer.

The link that Morbid posted is a little outdated. There are much easier, more approachable methods by which to tune your bike now.

The Powerizer is junk, avoid it like the plague.

If you'd like help setting up a custom tune for your bike, come check my business out: The Tuniversity. I'm well-reviewed, have done plenty of bikes, and am running Black Friday specials through tomorrow at 11:59 PM. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions.

Get the powerizer, working like a charm if you have a remus can installed.

The Powerizer for the Remus is supposed to be the correct add on fuel pack product . They don't last a long time Mileage wise. It will work but you may need to keep a set of plugs around. They in my Opinion don't hold up like an individual Tune per Engine will. Since you have a 2010 model bike, keep your records on the Engines plugs and mileage per change of them . I am curious as to how long the plugs will last and mileage you might get. Versus the Individual Engine Tunes that I have been doing for years. So far I've had good results with the old way. I don't really like the Add on paks but customers do and Vance and Hines is the Big V Twin Favorite fuel pak at this time.!!So far the V & Hines has been dependable. They buy it I install it! I get Paid. Remus Exhaust does sound Sweet. Good Luck !*Jimi

To late, already ordered the Remus slipon with the Powerizer. Thanks for the advise, I will post an update on the result.
Cheers

The Powerizer will work fine with your Remus exhaust and is a quality peice of kit. Some of the comments made here are just rubbish. I've sold hundreds of Powerizers and if all you want is a device that makes your bike run properly without the need to do any tuning then it is great. Just fit and enjoy it :)

One thing that you will notice is that the instructions are slightly wrong in terms of wiring colours for 2008 on models. The instructions will ask you to attach the yellow Powerizer lead to the green TPS wire. Your biek won't have a green wire but should have a violet/yellow wire instead.

so if i order one and am not happy with it i can send it back for a full refund?

I have to admit that I, personally, have not used a Powerizer. My opinion is based solely on the dozens of individuals who have been very unhappy with them and have posted to that effect on the board. In fact, I have never heard a single person be pleased with an in-line fueling module.

If it doesn't work as designed or is faulty then of course you can. However that may be different to 'I'm not happy with it' so you need to be sure of what you are trying to achieve before deciding which route to go down.

I have used these on road and race bikes (up to 110bhp) with no problems at all. Most of the problems related on forums with these kind of fuellers seem to be from people who expect the Powerizer to somehow give them a magical power boost or to do something that it is not designed to do.

It is a simple method of adding fuel where required in order to richen the mixture, allow the use of aftermarket pipes etc and give better 'rideability' and throttle response. It won't give a magic power increase, it is not 'tuneable' and it isn't a magic pill to make a poorly set up bike run well :)

If you want a simple to fit, simple to use piece of kit that will address most of the lean running issues that Buells suffer from then it is excellent product and lots of people run them quite happily. It is purely designed to work with stock(ish) bikes that have an aftermarket pipe fitted, and for people that just want a 'fit and forget' module. If you decide that you want to put the bike back to stock you simply remove the module and it reverts to stock immediately.

If you are looking for something that you can 'fiddle' with or adjust, or want to go a lot further down the tuning route than just a pipe and filter, then maybe another method may be more suitable.

My opinion is based solely on the dozens of individuals who have been very unhappy with them and have posted to that effect on the board.

Don't believe everything that is posted on forums :) The majority of satisfied owners/users don't post on forums but just use their bikes quite happily.

I have Xb12Ss 2006 with TI-Force full exhaust, K/N filter and breather re-route AND powerizer. I can tell that in this setup it works perfectly! [up]
