Freak, I totally understand, I just didn't want the thread to stray from my original discussion. I'm liking all the options being thrown out there, I figured I would just be stuck with the jardine kit.

Keep adding onto the list if you have more suggestions.

5-7k is about all you'll get out of the stock packing jardine provides, all I had left at 10k was the front 3 inches of packing.

Ive used FMF 4 stroke Dirt Bike packing before with good results.

And yes use STAINLESS STEEL rivets that are a good brand, not some **** brand at Ace Hardware thats cheap and will break like I had happen to me, I didn't get bucked 2 feet like Dave said, but it did kick my back tire over about 6 inches while I was slightly leaning in a curve.

Another advantage of the Silent Sport Premium I read is as it deteriorates, no need to gut it, just pop an end cap off and stuff some more in the can.

I have moose Racing re-packing kit i have had good luck so far. Break it in gently on the fresh re-pack,for about one tank full. Yep thats hard to do. but the sound no matter what you choose is crisper. [up][cool]

OLD THREAD REVIVAL

Ne one have an old high miles D&D that have attempted to cut open to repack. I assume D&D's are just glass packs and have noticed mine seems to get a lil louder every year. What is to be done with these after all the fiberglass has burnt out?
