Hi guys, I'm sure this has been covered 100 times before but I can't find anything by searching...

Is it ok to replace just the bearings in the pulley wheel? The manual recommends changing the whole assembly.
And if it's ok, any idea what the part number is?

My bikes an '08 25th Anniversary with Thunderstorm engine.

Use site.buellxb.com and what you are seaching for on google.com

Here are the results of my search, your answer is in the first link.

Awesome oh9bolt - Thank you! I do normally try searching like that but didn't find the post as you did - so greatly appreciated as always!

AND be aware that both the pulley and the little spacers have a front and rear. mark each with sharpie or something similar before disassembly or you'll regret it later.

mine were a slip fit in the pulley so i had to use a little bearing retainer compound to prevent the outer race from spinning in the bore. Watch out for that as well.

Many thanks for the input guys! - I confess I got help from my local mechanic - but I now have fitted the Free Spirit Self-Adjusting Belt Tensioner and new bearings. Squeaks gone and loving it so far.
