Reprogram Stock ECM to Race

I came across the Fuel maps for a race ECM and was wondering...

Is this smart to reprogram a stock ECM without a Dyno? What necessary bike modifications are needed before doing this (i.e. breather mod...)?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Ya remapping the stock ECM is almost always the best option. The best way to go is get your aftermarket system/can, air filter, and then have her re mapped after instillation.

Yeah, I agree get a new muffler and intake them remap. Do not just remap otherwise you will be throwing your whole system out of whack, not to mention wasting gas as the remap will be pouring in more gas to make up for the added air it thinks it is getting from the upgraded intake, flooding the engine, possibly fouling out the plugs, yada yada.

You probably know,but be sure to save a copy of your stock map so you have something that you know will run to fall back on should the worst happen.
