I want to start resetting my own TPS. I have looked in the buell store but I didn't see the software/set up. I thought I saw it offered there once before. I saw several options available, Just want the basic stuff, only looking to work on my buell, don't need the pro model. Can someone point me in the right direction? Also, The fork oil change reads fairly easy in the service manual. Is it really difficult or do-able? I'm at 10,000 miles, I want to do the work myself. Anything I need to be on the watch for?

i would consider getting ecm-spy then.

and if you're a bit technical inclined, you can change the oil yourself...

How often should the tps be reset? BTW, I will be using ECMSpy once I get the proper cable. Can't wait to try it out.

only when you feel there's something wrong...
like when experiencing hick-ups, unsmooth acceleration, etc.

service manual calls for it at all the usual service intervals. 1000, 10,000, etc. But LeFox is right, if you start getting that low speed hiccupping, popping not-so-normal crap that buells tend to get now and then. I personally think it comes from fuel injection being used with pushrod technology. jmo...

Its a program that allows you to write/read the ecm and much more. I just started using it and it is a very powerful tool. Yes you will need laptop/cable and the drivers and such. It literally takes me about 5 min on a bad day to do a tps reset on my bike.
