could you give us a step by step please? I was about to mill a bracket but that looks much better. I already have the light, just need some help with it.

Here is the type of projector unit I used. You can find them on ebay... Just search H7 Projectors They fit into the stock housing with a simple mod of cutting your stock clear lens to allow the project to protrude through. I may vacuum form a lens for it in the future?? They come with halo rings also[up] They only other mod you have to do to the housing is dremel the inside of the reflector housing to make the bases equal in height. It was really simple.

polkie, did you have to change anything in regards to wiring for the headlights and did you have to change the power requirements to the headlights?
thanks

It comes with a huge wiring loom that draws directly from the battery with it's own fuse. Everything was pretty much plug and play. They came with a bunch of wire taps so you didn't have to splice up the factory wiring.

sounds like something that I would not mind doing over the 'winter'...
thanks for the helpful info, looks great and am looking forward to seeing more pics and reading your the write up!

I like the LSL Mig Lights - they're $449 but they look pretty sweet & come in polished chrome or black.. [up]

very cool. thank you polkiejoe :) rep point for you! [up]

I am working on using firebolt lights. I plan on cutting mounting brackets on a plasma cutter out of 1/8th mild steel and if I cant hide enough of it Ill cover with fiberglass.

ok so I am ready to tear into mine but how did you open the housing without destroying it? I have heard of using an oven but how hot do you get it? or what did you do to separate the halves?

I put the hole assembly into the over (on a piece of wood as not to melt the plastic on the oven racks) for about 15 mins. You should be able to take a spoon and pry at the edges to release the sealant. Just use a new bead of sealant when putting it back together...[up]
