its rustoleum bedliner in a can my friend. I picked up a few cans at autozone, 2-3 coats and just used high temp grill spray for the headers. I originally did plasti dip but kept getting tears/abrasions in it on the swing arm from kicked up rocks. Plus fuzzies from my jeans kept gettin stuck to it where my knees touched the
frame so i peeled it all off and just used bedliner. Sprayed the motor too and didnt burn off or anything

wow this looks really good i might consider doing this! now you just gotta paint the forks

Should have used header paint on the headers. Grill paint is for grills.

The silver triple trees and forks look out of place now.

What you have done looks good though.

thanks man appreciate it yeah im gonna get at the forks next weekend and maybe the wheels since I got another four day haha

what brand did you use and whered you get it. I'm kind of hesitant to rattle can the wheels with anything Id rather just go somewhere and have them powder coated you got any pictures?

Held up grate took it for a nice three hour ride about 6-8 hours after I finished no cuts or chips in it. Took it out yesterday on some wet roads and through a light drizzle for about an hour or so and still nothing. Shes holding up very well!

True true but until just now I didn't realize they had header paint. I want to get it wrapped anyway and like I said before this is all just temporary quick fixes. Im doing everything out of my apartment garage and im still learning. This was my first time actually doing this. Still not finished with her im going to do the forks and everything next weekend cause we have another long weekend. and Thanks for the input Bud

Looks great. I keep going back and forth on doing this or not and I think this seals the deal. I'm trying to cover a bad paint job on a budget and if I fail at vinyl wraping the airbox cover (likely) I'll be taking this route.

hey, sorry to take so long to get back about the paint and stuff, for some reason this forum doesn't send any sort of notification of reply that i have been able to find....

anyways, thanks! yes, I had the wheels off to spoon on new tires anyways, so i just cleaned them with dawn soap and water, wiped them down with denatured alcohol, taped off the bearings and valve stem and sprayed a bunch of thin layers over several days, letting them bake in the direct hot sun for at least half the day... they are holding up really well, only minor chips on the rear when installing the new tires, haha i was tired and put the rear on backwards and so had to do it twice.... but it was super easy to touch up. yes, i trimmed the fender myself, masked off about where i wanted to trim, used a portable bandsaw for the rough cut and a 60 grit flap disc to clean it up and plain file to smooth it out.
