Wonder if spray paint would do trick?

My chinese levers came and they were pink (not red). I picked up some red "anodizing spray paint"and clear coat. They look great and feel great. I'll never go back to regular levers, and I'm glad I saved a ton of money.

Sorry if this has been asked, but are the levers I see on eBay the same as the Ride-It Moto levers? I want a set of these but like most, money is tight and the levers on eBay look exactly like the Ride-It Moto ones for half the price.

Think I saw mention somewhere on here about the Dragon Brothers levers or something like that. Think those are common to see on ebay.

I'd just wait a little bit longer and save that extra little bit of cash towards these. Mine fit good, and are 10x more comfortable. Only issue I've had is a little play at the base. Going to put a washer in to shim it and see if that works.

Good to know! I mean these aren't that expensive but seeing the ones on eBay made me wonder since they were so cheap.

Here's a follow-up on the GSXR China lever anodizing. I know this is a Ride-it-Moto thread but hopefully you guys can confirm (or deny) that the Ride-it-Moto ones are better than this. The first two pics are what they looked like after only a few months. I keep my bike indoors by the way so they didn't see much sun. I had my anodizer anodize the selectors and the part I modified before I initially installed them so you can see the difference right off.

Here's what they look like totally re-anodized to "5-0dro specs". Let's hope they hold out a lot longer!

I wonder if the anodizing could be safely, inexpensively and effectively removed. I would not mind turning my faded black levers to natural aluminum.

Can it be done? Yes. That's what my anodizer did for me. It's a chemical process that actually removes a small amount of aluminum in the process so if you have parts with tight tolerances you have to be careful. I'm not sure what the chemical is or if it can be easily obtained but I'm sure a Google search or a call to your local anodizer would give you some answers. They might even be willing to do it for a few bucks (or maybe free if they're being nice)?

Edit: you can try this: Link

No problem! Let us know how it works. You'll probably have to do a good amount of polishing to get a natural aluminum look back. It appears that you'll be left with a white-ish color after stripping.

Good luck![up]

Can someone chime in here who has the 'shorty' clutch lever? Our XB clutch's aren't the smoothest/easiest pull and I was concerned that the shorty lever might be a pita to pull in every shift???

Also, I had asked earlier about these compared to the chinese levers on eBay...I was trying to contact them and found the only contact info on there website was from China...So I guess the Ride-It's are just chinese levers afterall [down]

Not surprised there! At that cost they must be!

I have a shorty clutch lever on mine and I like it a lot. 2-3 finger pulls aren't difficult for me anyway. My only complaint is that they didn't debur the Chinese levers enough and they tore through my ring finger on my gloves. I corrected this when I had them re-done.

Sounds like the Ride-It's do not wear well. Anyone have suggestions for other economically priced levers. I want to replace my stock levers on my 04 XB12S and am trying to decide whether to bite the bullet and pay for some of the more expensive high quality ones or go with a less pricey pair that performs and wears well, if there is such a thing.

if the finish is important to you then yes get a quality set.the finish on ny ride-it levers has continued to fade.mechanically they feel like new.

After reading this thread, I may just bite the bullet and get a set of crg's. Anybody know where to get a thicker more comfortable grip?
