I rode often with my wife on my last bike and plan to ride with her on my 1125r. Anyone with experience with riders have any pointers or anything that I should know of. Basically just want to know if there are irregularities I should know about. Seems like the bike should ride well with a rider.

what was your last bike?
the riding position puts her high up where she will have a large effect on EVERYTHING.
she should pretend that she is your back-pack.

only peeking over your shoulders/around your helmet. keeping her hands on your tummy, ready to reverse them to brace against the airbox for support upon breaking

you could/should adjust the suspension to handle the extra mass, or just ride it and muddle thru the turns

Definitely max out the suspension with her(unless you both weigh 100lbs). It's pretty comfortable, but like what nilla said, she'll have to be ready to brace herself during braking. Otherwise you'll be supporting her momentum with your arms.

Both of us are really light, I'm about 150 and she is 100. My last bike was a 650r Ninja. We rode yesterday evening and it felt pretty stable. She said it was more comfortable than my Ninja.

My fiance loves the Buell... she wont get on my CBR, she said the 1125 is the most comfortable sport bike she has ever been on the back of. all she does is either braces herself by using her hands against the airbox (buckle guard) or uses the pockets of my jacket... I am always riding with her on it.

That is what my wife said as well. People don't believe how comfortable it can be who don't normally ride a sport bike.

What lucky guys all of you are! My wife won't go near my Buell. Of course, there is also an Electra Glide in the garage. So my "passenger princess" is spoiled.

my wife says the CR is way more comfortable then my old X1 was. but i did have the corbin gunfighter seat so not much there for her backside

my missus said after the last 150 mile trip on the back of the 1125 theres no way she would do it again, due to cramp in her legs, so now she rides the xb :)

I haven't had anyone on mine yet, but I feel like I'd be paranoid about them putting too much stress on the airbox cover. I know it's not gonna break in half from someone pushing on it when I hit the breaks, but I'd worry about stress around the 4 bolts over time.

Everyone who has ridden in the back always complains about their knee's hurting . Just remember you now have weight on the back so it's stand up if give it power
