I just bought a pair of the icons just like h20 has pictured .
After 1000 miles around nc I am thrilled. Found them at wheelers (bike shop on us 129) for 99 bucks. I forgot my boots in Michigan .
They are as comfertable as my Nike shoes and water proof wich was my requirment for new boots

I have Icon SuperDuty III boots in size 14. They make size 15 as well. They're pretty comfortable, just about the right mix of comfort for walking around and protection. My only complaints are that they're hard to get on in a rush, for obvious reasons. Also, the sole is separating after a year. Been wearing for 2 years though, and they're good enough. Think they're on sale on Newenough...

I just found a pair of old, but well taken care of Alpinestars Hi-Points on Craigslist.

All leather, well worn and very comfortable. Flat sole too which is reassuring. No laces either.

they run a size big.

I wear the Sport II boot from Vega. Price of admission is 100 bones, this will be my second season wearing them. Don't know how they hold up to rigid track use, but I'm a street rider that does 1 to 2 track days a year.
They did great at VIR last year.

Anyone have puma boots ? How do you like them ? I'm debating on getting Puma Roadster V3's or Puma Desmo's.

i have the Daytona Flash boots - really nice and comfortable, and you are able to resole them.

been riding them for about 3 years now (winter and summer). still look good.

doesn't pay to get cheapies - they simply don't last.
my previous ones were trashed in 3 years from daily riding.

Don't know the model but Joe Rocket boots, waterproof is a big thing to me, and quite comfy for walking, have had several years no problem.

Hubbie has waterproof Alpinestars, probably lasting even long than mine.

I imagine true race boots might be uncomfy to walk in very much?

Guess what feels good to you & a major brand, then you know it will be "safe" & last.

Good luck!
