Want some boots but not down for the whole MX style or the whole not sure if I'm an iron worker/full dressed Harley riding Paul Bunyan guy.

Thanks!

I have THESE and like them a lot

These are my favorite...
Sidi Vertigo (i have them in perf and non-perf). They list much higher than what I paid... don't remember how i got the deal.

I wear them under the jeans... so they don't stand out TOO much. Occasionaly get the "Do you have SCREWS in your boots?"

My brother has Dainese boots, which are less colorful, less plastic, same protection. More expensive ;)

I use these about 9 months of the year.. they are super comfortable and "stealthy"

They also come in white

I have TCX boots, both street and track. These are great boots and run in similar league with the Dainese quality. They took no time to break in, and they have a nice quite, slick, design. I wear them to work and keep them on all day and we walk to lunch most days....no issues.

These are the ones I have, but they have some newer designs for the 2013-2014 season.

Not sure what's up with their website, but i have the Vitesse Hunt boots. Typically wear a 10-10.5 shoe and was told to pick a size up. Thinking 11 would work i went with those, should've went with a 12. Regardless, i love these boots. Super comfy and seem stiff enough in the event i need to exercise them for what they were designed for. Might dye them this winter to black.

I have the same boots as 50dro in white for casual riding. Nice boots, I like them a lot.

I also have alpinestars smx plus for more aggressive riding.

I have a set of Sidi's for when I do some harder rides but for my every day usage, I have a set of Joe Rocket Big Bang boots. They're comfortable enough to wear on a ride and to walk around in the rest of the day.

@dadams, I really like those, how much did ya have to shell out? I'm still wearing some HD boots I've had for about five years. They have zipper sides and the zippers constantly fail, i'm ready to upgrade!

Try Aerostitch Combat Lites. They will last along time and all replacement parts(and soles) are available. They do take along time to break-in thou. They are made for Aerostitch by Sidi. Sorta conservative looking compared to most other boots.

More on my sidi street boots I mentioned above...

get work boot insoles.... the inside is pretty solid, and the insole makes them SOOOO much more comfy. Lessens vibrations from the bike too.

The sole is thin... so you'll wear through them if they are your daily shoes. I've got ~35k miles, daily commuting which involved walking around school campus in them... worn through one pair of soles. You CAN get replacement soles... not sure if I'll bother with $20 soles, finding a place to install them, and hoping they turn out well... or just replace the boot and sell the old ones for cheap.

I agree with all the above recommendations to try out Alpinestars, Sidi & Dainese. Foot-wear is definitely a critical piece of safety gear, and you get what you pay for.

To the above list, I'd also suggest taking a look at BMW's offerings. Their boots are under-stated, reasonably priced, and actually deliver on their water-proof claim! :D
