very sad and for a great character with what should have been many years to showcase his talents. Rest in peace. A tragic loss

There is a video on youtube that has a view from the rider behind him showing him trying to save it from low siding and sliding off the track.

cause the poor bastard got smacked at 140klmsh on the back of his neck and then run over. your helmet is only held on via a chin strap. enough force and i am sure you can rip it forward from behind and off.

he was so keen to do well this round. he thought he had a real good chance. always had to work harder than the others cause of his size. he would have loved riding the 990's next season.

you could see that he didnt want to come off. he was trying, but htat resulted in his bike regaining traction, but he was too far gone, and ultimately dragged himself back in front of edwards and rossi. i reckon if he had not fought so hard and let it go, the bike wouldve straightened up and ran off down teh road and he would have left the track sliding off on the left hand side, to fight another day.

i will miss him. he was the future personality( and possibly champion potential) of motoGP.

It looks like the other riders front tire struck him in the neck right at the bottom of the helmet and just popped it right off. RIP
