ROT Rally

It's a bit early, but me and some co-workers are already making plans for the event. Any one heading out for this too? I know there are more than a handful in Texas. It should be the first or second weekend of June. This will be my first bike rally, and apparently it is one hell of a party.

WHAT IS IT AND WHERE IS IT

It is in Austin, TX and the first place I rode the Buell Battletrax. It has grown from a small rally of about 5000 bikes in 2002 to well over 50,000 bikers when I was last there in 06. It is the first weekend in June and great alternative to Sturgis if you can't make it there. Alot of great riding down in the Hill Country.

Im down in San Antonio and would like to go next year. I have been before but didn't make it this past year. Hell of a good time!

As long as his orders don't move him prior to the rally one of my NCO's will be defending his XFC Heavy weight title at the event. He defended it at the '08 rally.

I live in Austin and went to Rot this year... (for the uninitiated... ROT is short for "Republic of Texas")

It has the distinction of having the longest motorcycle parade anywhere (over 35,000 bikes now in the parade itself now).

I won't ride and drink anymore... had one too many bad experiences with that... but I'll definately ride OR drink...

Just checkin out pics of last years ROT Rally and came across this jewel.

yup that's hellbuellie special K with Ashley. It only get's better. for those that will be at rot rally the hillcountry hellbuellies will be chillin on the fair grounds with three spots on the south side of the grounds. we will also be at the dirty dogs bar downtown on 6th street prolly till about 9 then ride back to the fairgrounds to finish partying and showin off the buells. hope to see ya.
