so little update. I had a surgery to the clutch hand, that and 2 inches of snow got the bike in the shop ill reassemble order a ecm from santa and get to putting screws in dualsport tires.
but.

i ran it the other day, it took 20 minutes to go into skip mode. i switched ecms and it took another 20 minutes even though the bike was thoroughly warm.

i pulled aux, acc, brake horn fuse to eliminate some potential draws im am leaning towards a chaffed wire or coil pack making the ecms get hot. to thr fan part of my original inquiry. the borrowed ecm commands the fan each and everytime i shut off the bike. my oe ecm did it once in 6 runs.

Well hand is healed, I'm sick of riding my sporty powered frankendrz.

Pulled all fuses and am putting them back in one at a time.

Swapped fans and bought new battery. Reassembled the air intake.

It's not screwing up after 20mins of idling

sorry for the delay, had a great summer and spent a bunch of time in alaska this summer but managed to run the buell a LOT .
I put on a new front tire.
about 4K miles
a new speed o sensor
found a chaffed wire back in the tail. Not sure it was part of the issue. but it was flawless all summer last fuse in was the hand warmer aux fuse and all components work as they should.
It is on a earlier ECM so I hear a lot less of the fan, but im ok with that.

I will be ordering a new ECM and returning this to my buddy. I don't like that fan running as much as it did on the oem ecm. I am hoping to get a set of code that notice the bike on sitting still at operating temps... fan on.... bike moving above 15 mph fan off....

pretty sure i read that there is no input of speed to the ecm but, man that would be nice.

thanks again
