Running Castrol R4 Synthetic

Has anyone ever used this before? I am about to change my oil again and I am putting this oil back in. It's Castrol R4 Superbike Fully Synthetic Oil 5w-40. I did notice a little change it RPMs, not much but they did drop especially in cold weather. I'm thinking about running it year round. Any opinions?

seems like a really low weight oil for these bikes.

i ride year round, it has been in the 20s here alot lately. anyways, i think i may move up to the Castrol RS 20w-40

I just changed from that oil. It was burnt looking and thinned out just about equal to the 0w from my wifes car. I just changed to mobil1 Vtwin, I hope its better then that stuff was. also this oil was only in the bike for 800miles

run royal purple... a bucnh of us up here in MN in the cold run thatand never have any problems... it doesnt thing out and helps cool in the summer... if we ride in a big pack of buells you can tell who has royal purple in the summer cause out cooling fans dont come on when we stop lol unlike the other runnin amsoil ETC...
