If you are unsure you will like doing track days, rent the gear from the company hosting the TD. But trust me, you will be hooked. When you pick out your gear, buy the best you can afford, especially your boots and gloves. If you live where it is really hot I suggest a white suit to stay cooler. I never thought I would get white leathers but I am so glad I did. I opted for a one piece. If you really get into it and end up doing some club racing, you will need a one piece most likely. If you get a 2P, make sure it is full circumference zipper. Some other things to consider- ear-plugs and a sport mouth piece.
