So, I've pretty much got my heart set on an X1 or an XB9/12S as my next bike in the coming months. I like lots of bikes, but these are the ones that really get my attention every time. Problem is, almost all of them around here that are for sale have some variety of fender eliminator. I'm sure I'm in a tiny minority who feels this way, but I generally dislike fender eliminators.

But I've seen some S1s with a fender like this:

It's a little odd looking, for sure, but I like it. Anyone know if that kind of rear fender will fit on an X1/XB9S, and how much of a pain it would be? Where might one of those be found?

probably one of the worst looking rear fenders ive ever seen.

that aside.. there is the obvious suggestion, check ebay?

I know that you said you like those fenders, but when I bought my S1 brand new, that fender was gone as soon as I got it home. Only hand maybe 15 miles on the bike. But Im sure those fenders are going to be hard to find.

That fender fits on the steel swing arms. x1 has the aluminum swing arm. I am 90 percent sure the s1 fender won't fit an x1 and I am positive it won't fit an xb.

lol. I figured that would be an unpopular preference. Most regular fenders on sport bikes... I guess they best way to say it is that I think they detract from the purity of the shape. But most fender eliminators I see just leave the tag sticking straight off the tail, which IMO looks even worse. I find this to be a nice third option.

Well, damn. Guess I'll have to either go with a stock fender or see about fabricating one myself. Thanks.

Think he was talking about the tire hugger pur.

That is a nice eliminator kit tho fo sho!
