ok so this is the 2nd time this happened to me, 1st time im riding around and the stator wire breaks off the connectin, and the bike eventuatlly died. reconnected charged the battery ride around for about 2hrs bang bike dies and all the power goes really dimm. wtf is goin on? battery shot? stator shot?

You're in the wrong message board friend, you need to look into the older series X1, M2, S3. I'm thinking your battery is alright, but I recommend checking your fuses and making sure none of the simpler things (wiring) are bad. A stator replacement isn't anyone's idea of a good time but if checking fuses and wiring doesn't turn up anything then you may have to change it. Of course I'd wait until one of the more knowledgeable members can give you a for sure answer since I don't wanna steer you in the wrong direction.

It's a very simple system. Charge the battery, check the fuses, check the battery ground under the rear plastic and seat (right above the battery). Fire it up after charging the battery and with a DVOM check the voltage at the battery, it should be charging at 14v. If not you probably have a stator or wiring issue.
