Sad sad sad... My friends son was murdered last month by 3 teens, a mall shooting near me a few days ago... now this?! what is wrong with these kids? Lack of hugs or discipline?

Sad indeed.

I'm with several of you on this one. I have my CCP, and glad I do. If the principal was armed and trained, this would have turned out way differently. This coward ruined countless lives, and then took the shit way out. Granted, he is dead, saving $1M+ with trials, appeals, public defender, housing, counseling... However, like I told my wife last evening, this kind of asshole is what rear bumpers and rope are made for. I live in Indianapolis, and I'd tie the stupid SOB to the back bumper and not stop until I was in Kansas. It probably sounds barbaric, but I have 3 sons and a daughter. If this happened to any of them, a dark side of me would be sure to emerge.

That said, my sincerest and most heartfelt condolences, sympathies, and prayers go out to all involved. Noone should have to suffer through this loss, and the fact that they are is unconscionable.

First I wan to say my heart goes out for each and ever person who has lost a loved one in any shooting but it does go to show how vulnerable we are in an everyday setting.

One can make a difference but many don't realize CCW permits are anything but a training tool. I feel to have a CCW people should be required to go through much more training just so that in a case such as Dean posted someone will be able to know the difference between a opening to shoot or not shoot. Tunnel vision in these cases is something that is hard to not go into but through proper training it is easy to avoid. I say that knowing that when the time to pull the trigger in a real life situation not one person really knows what they will do until it is time. The learning curve one goes through in just one real life situation is much more than any amount of class/range training could possibly mirror. Si-mmunition rounds as shown in the video below are a great training tool and should be a must in CCW training to allow for a more realistic situation.

This is a good video to watch on how untrained individuals react. Note they are untrained but since 99.9% of people are not thoroughly trained in different situations what training they do get is possibly much to little.

guns don't kill people, people kill people

in China a dude with a knife kills a bunch of kids the same day...ban knives??

each and every day drunk drivers kill at least 27 people in the US, ban cars?

education and better background checks might help keep guns out of the hands of idiots but where there is a will there is a way...

lumping some headcase along with the hundreds of thousands of responsible gun owners is wrong, vilifying the entire gun owning population of the US is ignorance imho and with my tin foil hat firmly in place I do believe this is done to impact your 2nd amendment rights.....

as my wife and I are both guns owners in Canada eh, we had to jump thru hoops and go thru multiple days of training and gun education just to get a license to have hunting rifles as well as additional training and background checks with the RCMP for us to own our handguns or 'restricted' firearms.

Ignorance is bliss for most and the MSM have demonstrated that they spin the 'news' as it needed...the sheep blindly follow and keep drinking the kool aid

I think he took the coward way out by killing himself. That's my opinion. Did I want to see him alive and put in prison no that's a waste of our tax money.
Also some people dont realize what a hassle it is to open carry. Hell I got harrased by a police officer using my ccw and telling him I was carrying when I got pulled over for a traffic violation. This is what our world is coming to.....

Don't be afraid of Iran or Taliban or Korea be afraid very afraid of our own government!!!!!

Yeah it's like nazi germany when you get pulled over nowadays. And if you're riding a sport bike they just make you dig your own grave and shoot you into it for going 10 over. Just for being on a sport bike.
