Don't want to sell it but I'm in need of a more upright ride for every day riding situations. Enemy_Zero let me ride his S and it was EXACTLY what I need.

IF it were to be sold looking for 3.7 OBO.

What about just doing a top triple tree conversion? Or possibly the ABS risers for Firebolts (although I'm not sure how they compare to the position of the S)?

I could that. But if I did I would want to covert it completely to an S. At that point it would be easier to trade with someone or sell it.

do you prefer the looks of the s? because I take my firebolt/s across the country. with the right mods its very comfortable.

Look and feel yes. I'm not opposed to converting it I just don't have the money for the conversion and trading for parts is tough because not a lot of ppl want to make that conversion to the R.

My original plan was to buy another bike and have 2 but that's a little overkill. Especially when I'm living on a tight budget.

I have 7 including an EBR.... is that over kill? Btw I dont make a lot of money, and live in southern california by the beach. Sounds like youre making excuses.

I do believe that having 7 is overkill. I just bought a house and my priorities aren't owning as many bikes as I can get my hands on. I can't afford to own more than one right now and I'm not in a position to get one unless I sell/trade the current one I own. Excuses, I know.

Gtp3800, what all have you done to make your firebolt comfortable? I can only ride mine short distances.

You dont need mods to ride your Firebolt all day, you need to ride more and your ass gets use to it.

One thing that I will say is that a comfortable seat makes a huge difference between riding for an hour tops to going all day. The stock Firebolt seat is complete crap IMO - that's what I had on my first 12R. My second came with what looks to be a factory "gel" seat - SOOOO much better! Rode it the 4 hours home with only some minor complaints from the wrists which I'm sure could be fixed with the clip-on risers from ASB or the ultra rare helibars.

I have heard that the Saddleman seats are supposed to be superb as well, more so than the Corbin.

I ride 12 hour days, 500+ miles. comfort is a state of mind. after awhile you get used to it! just a better seat, high rise bars, and a bluetooth helmet. crank the music, smoke a cig here and there, try to use as many backroads as possible so your body is moving around, and well get in shape.

Picking on the poor guy. I know him well. He's in extremely good shape he's also almost 7 feet tall and has a wrist condition from having broken them in a previous accident. The guy needs an upright bike. I feel like there's a lot of people just throwing out the "suck it up" card. Remember we all have different needs and wants when It comes to motorcycling. I'm a fat mess so sport bikes are an uncomfortable awful torture device for me to ride and I've come to accept this. I ride upright bikes. They're more comfortable.

He wants to stay with a Buell. I know that's where his heart is. There have. Been some great suggestions for helping him get more comfortable and its well appreciated but he also likes the look of the S bikes. I've recommended an SS/STT for his size but there's always a slight chance that someone out there wants to trade.

Buy the S parts & sell them when your done. Nothing needs to be made per meant for the swap. These parts aren't going to lose value...

6'3-4. Might as well be 7 feet tall.

I am in pretty decent shape, so it isn't a matter of me physically not being capable of riding for long periods of time. I hurt my wrists a few years ago and lost feeling in my hands and forearms. Took a week or two to get right again.

wind is one of the main causes of painful riding in my experience. just remember with an s you have no wind protection at all.

Yeah it gets windy here in Vegas. Not too worried about it. It's more about long term health and practicality reasons.

I didn't mean to start a commotion on here, just wanted to see what the market was if there was one.
