Has anyone tried a oil filter kit from Scotts performance it's some sort of stainless filter that is reusable. Found it on www.hyperformanceparts.com

Yep
I bought it for my 2003 triumph speed four and it lowered the running temperature by 1 - 3 degrees centigrade. It has a magnet in it that you can CLEARLY see any debris comming off of the engine at oil change. Aluminum body with cleanable stainless element. Standard design, fits interchangeably with most bikes.

Considering a performance filter can cost 20 to 50 bucks.....

paid 120 cdn

Worth the money if you do alot of haulin ass. Not worth it if you just putt around like an old man.

Thanks for the input I was looking at these filters because I do tend to push my bike harder then i should and though a better filter would save some of the wear and tear.

I ordered a Scott's filter kit from hyperformanceparts.com today paid $126 all together. Can't wait until summer it was 3degrees this morning here in upstate NY.

I put one on last month hoping to keep the old girl cooler during the summer but will most probably still put a oil cooler on as well when I find a good looking one, also a bouns not having to order in filters
