^^^^Is a misstatement if you read the directions on the side of the can you will see that you can leave it in for the duration of the oil change or add it before your oil change get your facts right

My friend, the master tech, says this is the right way to use it. Also
or add it before your oil change
is exactly what he's saying to do.

Kab, I would wait till you're close to your oil change.

Ok i can wait till close to oil change, how close? Also are you using the can instructions for adding it? My bike is already put in my basement for the winter but want my facts straight for when i get it out in spring. Thanks in advance.

Go buy the can, think it comes out to an ounce per gallon.

If you're miles are higher I'd probably do it about 100-200 miles before an oil change. You're gonna break lose a lot of gunk and get it into your filter, so may as well get it out sooner tham let it sit for 3k miles.

I wonder about putting it in the tranny. There is no by-products of combustion to worry about cleaning up and I find that the tranny oil comes out pretty clean when changing. I use it in the fuel and in the engine oil if warranted before a change. Its really good stuff.

Noob question, but can I use Seafoam in my turbo diesel truck?

I've seen videos on "the you tube" and that seafoam noise sends out some gnarly exhaust.
Any risk of buggin up my turbo?

I personally would be Very Careful with a diesel ...
Turbo No injectors or sensors on the Common rail

What year? What make ? is it a urea burning truck?
Does it have the particular filter ?
the newer the more chances of a injector not liking it considering the price of injectors is insane for the newer Diesels

You can put seafoam in ANY ENGINE, even 2 cycle! I've been using seafoam for very long time (since it was $4 per can!)

In my car, I do 1/3 in gas, 1/3 in oil, and I suck 1/3 into my intake via a vacuum hose. I let the engine run for about 60 - 90 seconds before it stalls (yes it will stall out) usually, you need a friend to help by keeping the engine revved so it doesn't stall while sucking the seafoam into the intake. If it stalls early, it's not a big deal.

After the engine stalls, wait about 10 minutes then start it back up. It will be a jerk and try to not stay running, but you just have to show it who's boss (and I don't mean Tony danza)

When the engine starts running, be prepared to see clouds of smoke coming from, well everywhere! Mostly the exhaust. Then, you might want to drive around until the smoking stops.

That smoke is produced by the carbon build up being burned up that was "broke free" by the seafoam.

Seafoam isn't really an additive, it's a cleansing agent. That's why it causes engines to run so much better, it douches the carbon buildups from the engine.

In my lightning, I plan on putting equal parts (probably 1.5oz into my gas, my oil, and into my velocity stack (I'll pour it in SLOWLY) with the engine running. When my tank of gas is gone I'll change the oil.

You can leave it in the oil but it defeats the purpose because the point is to remove build up, not to break it free and let it hang out in the oil.

Oh yeah, for the turbo, introduce the seafoam into the intake before the turbo as to coat tue turbine fins. Maybe spray it in with a squirt bottle.

It won't hurt it. The worst that could happen is it will dry and not clean anything.

I would not put seafoam in a transmission personally.

I put seafoam in my bike and it helped alittle but nothing so amazing like everyone else seems to be getting.
