seat lock question

are the locks that release the seat key specific? and if i need a key just for the seat lock whats the fastest way i can get a cheap key

It should be the same as the ignition key, at least it is on my bike.

why cant you use the original lock? I would think that the locks are the same regardless of whether it's a xb12s or a xb12r. They're just in different places

Are you sure its not easier to both have original locks AND keys? Now you're both going to have to carry 2 keys [confused]
