Hey guys,
new to the Buell XB12S family. just picked up the Scg last week. friggin' love it.

after getting some seat time though, I notice that my legs feel a little cramped after a while. I'm curious about the various seat options I'm seeing, but I can't seem to find any information about how they affect the height. I can flatfoot the bike with the stock Scg seat, and I like that, but I'd like to try to relax my legs a bit with a taller seat, maybe raise it an inch or so.

I think these are the available options for 2009/2010 XB12Scg. can anyone tell me what the differences are?

-Stock Scg (I think is the Lightning Low, correct?)
-Skyline
-Select

i have a corbin gunfighter seat and love it. i have an 03 xb9s and have never benn able to go flat footed. with the corbin seat i think it raised it up a little bit, which i am ok with since i dont plan i putting my feet down unless i have to. also the seat is the most comfortable seat i have sat on, i can ride for an hour or 2 and not think twice about it.

the seat on your scg is the skyline #M0090.1AC. there is also another skyline seat that is taller (about an inch or so) #N0025.1AJYW. this seat came only on the '07 & '08 xb9sx. this , i believe, is the tallest seat you can get. the select seat is about in the middle (height wise) between the two & is real comfortable. i have no experience w/ the streetfighter seat #51891-03Y. the low seat #M0076.3AE is really low and hard. not very comfy in my opinion. all the above seats will fit your bike.(edit: now that i look at the pics. of the scg i'm not sure if it is the low seat or not. take your seat off and look at the # on the bottom)

You can also get the XB12Ss footpegs. Sold as the 1" lower pegs. About $30.

I recently got a 2009 CityX. It came stock with the skyline seat... I'm 6' and felt a little cramped so I found an older stock seat. It's 1.3 inches taller and is very soft. It soaks up bumps better and is generally more comfy but my knees are still cramped and the seat does feel a little *too* soft for long trips. I still like it better though.

Are the 1" lower pegs really a good idea for the scg-it seems that would put em a bit low for an already low bike-taller seat might be best..

I just bought a brand new XB9 City with the Skyline seat (stock) and need a "low" seat since I am not much taller than an elf. I ordered a seat, but might be interested in trading you and sending that one back when it comes in. This seat has 30 miles on it. I like it, just need something so I can touch better.
PM me if interested. I assume they are interchangeable, but someone can chime in and verify.

MMCC it appears th answer to your question is YES. The Scg and XB9Sx have compatible seats.

M0076.3AE $107.00
Low Seat for XB9S Models
Does anyone know if this part number is older "smooth" seat like I see on the older xb12's and 9's or the new "grippy" style like on a newer ones? [confused]

i think that is the textured one, i have the 0076.1AD LOW and that is the smooth one.

Too many item numbers! i'm trying to find the medium seat, the one the comes on the normal XB9S and XB12S and the newer xb9sx but who knows what the right numbers are.

I have the stock S seat perfect condition if you're interested in a slightly taller seat. I switch for the Select and the stock is just sitting in my garage.

Lol...A little late of a reply but yes it's too low. On my sch when I mean the outer side of my feet scrape the shoulder or road. To avoid that I simply tuck my feet in as close to the frame as possible

FYI, I have a fairly new standard height seat on my XB12Ss that I would love to trade for a low if anyone is interested.
