second helmet

Hey, is there an easy way to securly attach a second helmet without any after market posts?

Yup
you can attach both using the supplied cable that comes in the tool kit. Once you loop the cable though both D rings on the helmets, latch your seat with one helmet ON the seat and the other HANGING on the side of the seat

what about while riding? I strapped a second helmet to the band across the seat, but it gets all floppy and rubs on the plastics.

I've done it once and I used a bungee cord. My Friend has a cargo net that he purchased at a motorcycle store. He puts all kinds of things under it. I've even seen him put his laptop under it.

I made a custom helmet hook for mine. You could make 2 of them and attach one to each side of the cross bar under the rear seat. Mine keeps the helmet very secure. There is also a post on the forums somewhere showing the same helmet hooks as the one I custom made. Mine was a quicky job in the garage but the ones on the forum are painted black and look really nice.

There is a guy on ebay selling custom made helmet hooks for XB's too. They are cheap and very easy to attach. They are very secure too. Here is the ebay auction number:260315195485 Good luck
