:D she wouldn't be Buell-less... she would ride my 09 XB12Ss

this '09 1125R for sale locally has been driving me nuts. Even when EBR's become "affordable", I doubt I will be able to get one. And I want one that atleast has the "heart" of the new beasts

listed at $5499 (but has been for sale for months)
6300 miles

So whats the deal w/ the clutch issue on some? does the kit EBR sells fix the clutch issue permanently?

Voltage regulators seem to overheat, but there seems to be a fix for that now? And '08 stators are better than '09 stators?

Anything else to look for? Pull the VIN to see if any of the "voluntary" service recalls have been done (updated harness?)

since this is an '09, you shouldnt have much in the way of issues with the clutch, that was more an '08 problem. The '09s are notorious for the stator problems. I have a buddy with an '09 1125CR and his stator has been replaced twice in the last 15K miles, I dont think there is much of a fix.

That bike looks clean from the pic, but check under the fairing to see what condition the pods are in. Sometimes people put those fairings on to cover scratches on the pods. From the looks of it, it doesnt appear to have any other scratches, so odds are it is in good condition. check for the usual crap (Belt, fluids, wheels/ bearings,) also, just in case, check for a leak on the clutch cover (right side of bike) it will look like a very thin stream coming from the hole beneath the Buell logo on the cover.

thats a great looking r.
From what i have read the EBR clutch kit is a long term fix (mine still hasn't had an issue now at 17,500 miles).

R/R Is a piece of crap and the 08 stator and rotor is the only current fix but kinda spendy around 1k for the parts new. the r/r is a easy upgrade to the foo from roadcycle around 150 for parts.
There is a few poeple working with ways to long term fix the 09's.

Drive belt plan on it braking around 15,000 there is a new part number hope it will last longer.

the recall is a joke and didn't fix anything.

The 1125r is a great bike and brings a grin everytime i ride it tons of power.

Good luck
Rob
if you need a hand with any upgrades or anything just pm me i'll give you my phone number

So pretty!!!!!!!! I would almost sell my XB12R and get it now but when i hear about the things that could go wrong it scares me. I love the fairing. I want to make love to it.

why you would sell your wife's bike so that you can have two bikes! rather selfish, ey. doesnt she deserve buell love as much as the rest of us. :p maybe man up and decide which you like better or save and have two.

i know i wouldnt nor couldnt come between my girl and her 9sxcg. i had to sell the idea of me having hte oompah and the CR.

My wife would get the 09 XB12Ss to ride (open airbox, termignoni, EBR ecm)

if I pick up this 09 1125R we'd have two of the finest buell's ever produced from the last year of FULL production...
