So today it was a nice 80 degree day and I decided to take my bike out after work and make a nice fun long ride Home, on one of the roads that has sweet long twistes. Well on the first curve I was doing 60 in a 50mph road. As I came around the end their was an accident so the road was blocked off and traffic was stopped and I had about 40ft to stop. Well I locked up the back and grabbed the front, but that wasn't enough and I flew just inches from 3 cars and a fire truck. I have no idea how I'm alive I went inbetween 2 cars and wow it's crazy how fast things happen. But I just wanna tell everyone to ride safe. Sorry if I'm ranting, drank a few cold ones

Glad you made it thru that incident. I believe we all get a wild hair at times and loose a little of our common sense for a few moments of adrenaline. Keep safe and learn from this as 2nd chances don't come often.

Bet that one made your ******* pucker lol!

Glad your okay bud saw the name of this thread and thought the worst. Good luck and come back to Tx soon.

That is always a scary moment.

When I ride, I've actually always got three fingers from each hand resting on each lever... because you never know. Especially where I live, every time you pop up over a hill, or go around a blind curve, there's a 25% chance you're going to have an Amish buggy in your way. The thing about that is that it happens so little that you forget to worry about it.

I know I'm ALWAYS ready to lay on the brakes and engine brake if necessary.

I've had a few "brown seat" experiences

Glad you were able to avoid being involved...
This is one of the reasons I'll always ride a bike with great brakes and handling.

A few years ago I had an accident happen 50ft-60ft in front of me while doing 50mph. I was behind an idiot that was doing 15/20mph over the speed limit and he hit another idiot that tried to make a left turn in front of him.

If it wasn't for the brakes and handling of my Buell I wouldn't have been able to slow down enough/dodge around the accident.

Pulled over, more to smoke a few ciggs. then giving a rats-ass about either one of the other drivers. The people that called the cops reported two cars and a motorcycle in the accident, cops were amazed when they showed up and found out I managed to avoid the mess.

Went straight home, parked the bike, and then walked to the bar for beers/shots to stop the shaking.

When I went to get my endorsement on my license, I actually used the lines for the less than 600cc bikes on my 12s. the instructor was quite impressed.

Well Sunday on my way to my buddies house to watch the broncos ******* destroy the steelers hahah had to, we took a long route to see where I almost died. My tire marks were about 20-30ft and the speed limit is 65 and knowing myself on a sweet road with long tight turns I was going way faster then 65. I cannot begin to explaine how lucky I am to be here and how badass my buell handled in a time of need. I'm glad all of us can talk about close calls and I hope it stays that way! Ride safe brothers
