Don't know if everyone saw this but I know their are a lot of mustang lovers on this board like myself. But Carroll Shelby died at the age of 89. He lived a good life and did lots for the car world in general. Good man and he will be missed! RIP Carroll!

Sad to hear that. He was a true American legend and I love that Ford was putting his name on cars up until recently. His work will live on for generations to come.

Damn that sucks the longest living person to ever have a heart transplant. He's a true American legend. I hope that ford keeps the Shelby line going for a very long time. RIP Carrol Shelby

Definitely sad to hear! I'm not a big Ford or Mustang fan, but I can appreciate all he has done in the automotive world! Always thought it was cool that he was into P-51 Mustangs, and had his own and flew it if I'm not mistaken. RIP!

He was a great man and I'm glad to have gotten the chance to meet him in my life. It was truly a great moment in my life to meet a legend like that.

R.I.P.
If I'm not mistaken, this is the only car Shelby made from the ground up. The Shelby Series 1.

I hate mustangs with a passion but the viper and the cobra are my 2 all time favorite cars. I'll have a turbodog tonight to remember the legend.

Yes lets not forget the Shelby Dodges.Even though he will be remembered for his work on the Ford side.He has made many different cars in his lifetime.Including the GT40 which took the top 3 places in the 1966 24 hours of Lemans.Even though it was labeled a Ford and a good bit of Holman Moody in it.Shelby made it happen.I personally own a 87 Shelby Lancer.1 of 400 made along with a 86 Dodge Omni GLHT(Shelby inspired). He will live on in the many cars he has built.
