Red3stang/ducrider - you're absolutely right. He was a man of many faces in the automotive world. And just another thing to remember: he was also a chili aficionado [cool]

Joe you are right. The Shelby chili mix is the only one used in my house. We just made some on weds.Sometimes we forget the common and not so common things.

I am also more of a mopar guy too, although I did own a 1971 mustang,I have had two chargers, 1973 and 1974 models,Shelby was very instrumental in the car industry.[up]

Also shelby had his hand in the original design of the viper, when he had his transplant mopar took the project back over, im a true blue ford guy and I hope they continue the shelby line im looking to buy a 2014 when they come out!

I hate mustangs with a passion

Now thats just un- uhmercan

And let me correct myself - Ford wasnt just putting his name on cobras recently. He had an active hand in developement and design.

Shit I forgot Shelby designed the motor im my omni, the shelby daytona. Crap another beer tonight! O and its not so much mustangs, they are kind of blah and dated for me. Its stereotypical mustang drivers I mostly hate. I consider them the gixxer of the car world.
