Shift Linkage screw came out on me today.

I checked mine a few days ago and they where loose too.

Removed, cleaned, blue thread locker and refitted.

I was just talking about this with a buddy of mine in Illinois on Saturday. He was out on his 04 bolt and lost his a few weeks ago. He corrected it with a stainless allen head, red lock tite and a nylock. Pretty sure he won't lose that one again

Happened to me once. I forgot to blue locktite the thing. Lesson learned. Now I carry a spare, and a tube of the blue stuff.

Happened to me. 5th gear gettin off the highway into dead stop rush hour. Luckily we had a support vehicle and finally they found a paper clip and I McGuivered it in there. I was able to hand shift down to 3rd and burned the crap outta my clutch for about 10-15min before I couldn't take it anymore. Kinda suprized to see it's this common

I picked up mine at the dealer simply cause, I figured it would be the right one. Then found the black iron ones that would fit at Ace Hwdr. I go around and check these bolts about every 500/miles due to the Vibrations of the Bike.Found a couple a few times getting a little loose .
