shifting problems...

A while back I took my primary cover off to powder it and powder the shifter. Once I put it back together I was having issues with the shifter staying up and not returning to center. Thought it was tight from the extra powder in the shifter, bored it back out and the shifter moves freely unhooked from the linkage. Hooked it back up and works fine until it gets good and warm then hangs up top again.
Any ideas of what to look for ?

Don't over tighten your shifter pivot bolt. But do use plenty of locktite on the threads.

The bolt it tight on the inner bushing and the shifter moves freely but I'll give it a try
