Shifting without the clutch

I shift it fast but smoothly, not all the time mountains will eat your ass if you don't respect them.
Like Drax said a [slight] bump on most bikes to shift with the Throttle will make most shifting better. Smooth is fast most times.
I've built many bike transmissions in my days but the Harleys and the Buells are the Easiest by far. I use 1/2 Quart of 20/50 Amsoil and 1/2 Quart of AmsOil 75/90 in my Buell XB12Rs' Track or street Transmissions. Every other Service I use Redline in the Transmission. So Far no issues, other than Clutches on the Race Xb12r(2009). So Ride her safely.*Jimi

My clutch cable snapped on my '04 XB12R today & I had no choice but to get home without the clutch. Just start from a stop in 1st gear, hit the starter & away you go... Then shift as normal, giving a little lift of the throttle on upshift & a small blip on the down. Worked better than I expected, to be honest.

Now, to order a cable so I can get this beast fixed ASAP!
