WTF? I can't find ANYONE ANYWHERE who has the CW-1 (1100/Quest) dark smoke insert in stock, plenty of clear and amber though.

The company I work for makes an electronic tinting insert, we also do an standard anti-fog insert as well. It's def more expensive than a standard tinted pinlock but has more features.

Well, there's the problem and back to my original question...currently all retailers seem to be OOS on the smoke inserts and I was wondering if anyone had an answer as to why. Discontinued?
As far as LCD visors, I've read about spotty and LCD failures and as cool as those would be, I'd rather not go that route.
We've made a lot of improvement on the product in the past two years and have resolved a lot of issues that people had. We've also incorporated a lot of the feedback we got as well. Ex: The insert is now transferable (in case you scratch your visor), the LC now tints darker, the insert is thinner, the battery life is longer, the electronics have been reworked, the optics have been improved, the LC viewing area is larger (fits better to helmets)....

Hmm...send me a sample insert for a Shoei 1100 and I'll try it out this season and give a detailed feedback report. If like it, I'll keep it and you guys can bill me. 
Right now we are looking for 50 Beta testers for our new e-tint product. All that you need to do is fill out the form which just ensures us that you can articulate information back to us. Update. I finally found a place that had the dark smoke insert for the CW-1 pinlock shield. TOTALLY worth it imo, the convenience of a clear shield for nighttime and tinted for daytime and ZERO fogging. Well worth the money. My only complaint? Shoei should make the pinlock shield standard on all their helmets
