Is there a throttle tube (maybe from a different bike?)That would shorten the turn to WOT on a firebolt?
Thanks

Not sure but I would be very interested in finding this out. I feel like I can never get the throttle fully open on my lightning 12 and i even turn my wrist over the bars to start with

i just may try that...although if the pvc ring malfunctioned you would have no way to turn the throttle to get the bike home. :p

good point...I think i may wait til winter to try this in case it doesnt go over well...haha

i guess my comment kind of sucked. mark it with tape and take a picture so the rest of us can see how well it worked. i think you got the idea, but im a little jacked up on sinus meds right now. my bad

i got to looking in the throttle slide area inside my xb. looks like you might have to shave out the difference of the pvc spacer. pretty tight clearances where the cable is directedon the bach half of the throttle. i think im going to try it though, cause i have to reposition my hand if i want full throttle from idle. my wrist just doesnt bend that much, and it would be nice to not have to reposition. if no one does it before me ill take pics while doing it and make a post.:D

Wow! That's a deal! Is that a drop in or are there modifications to do?

If you read the how to linked above you will need to grind down the inner part of the throttle housing just a little with a dremel. Looks pretty easy but I haven't tried it yet. I will let ya know when its complete.

Yeah...I looked at both. Any benefit in using the Motion Pro tube vs. the R6 one?

Nope...I actually found that the motion pro was the same price as the stock one but the shipping was $6 less for the motion pro so thats what i bought. :)

The wider diameter throttle tube pulls more cable than the stock one which gives you more throttle per turn allowing you to be wide open without wrapping your wrist all the way around the bar.
