should i be worried

i bought this 2008 xb12ss this winter, i notice there is lots of black residue near the v-twins, here is a pic, i cleaned it , it was worst thatn this, my other buell was spotless, what could it be?

if it is, that is normal, in my experience anyway, nothing to worry about

Small wire brushing will remove this residue.

ok great thanks, i was just wondering cause my last buell always stayed clean and this always come back and some residue near the cylinder top covers. thank
