I had an 09 XB that I sold for a Cr and I haven't looked back. I loved my XB, but the Cr is awesome. If you're considering a Cr, start doing research on stator and voltage regulator issues because they are prone to have those crap out. I bought my Cr for $6k with 2300 miles on it and the 2nd day I had it, my VR went out. I upgraded to a Mosfet regulator because I see no reason to go to HD just to have the same one put back on, free or not. Several 1125 riders are also sending there stators into Classic Rewind to get it rewound with a higher heat resistant epoxy that's supposed to last. I'm hoping that mine will last me the rest of the riding season so I can take it off this winter and have it rewound. Some 1125's have a clutch weeping problem as well, so look into that. I haven't, yet.
XB to Cr PROS:
Very fun bike
Crazy torque
Looks mean
Lots of parts on Ebay (probably for all bikes as well)
Only made for 1 year, so they should be worth something someday IMHO
More upfront/aggressive riding stance (I like the Clubman bars)
XB to Cr CONS:
Tend to require more maintenance
Crappy stator and VR
Likes to be ran hard, after all, she was made for racing
Without EBR ECM, low RPM riding is difficult
Gets warm (so did my XB, but I notice it more on my Cr)
There's probably more for each. I've only had my Cr for 9 days now, but I love it. She just requires a little extra attention stock, but I'm positive that with the upgraded VR, EBR ECM, k&n filter, wrapped headers, and stator rewind, she'll be good for life! So be like Nike and JUST DO IT!
