I know it's a crappy cell phone pic but I figuered I would post it anyway. I just threw it on for a quick test fit before it goes out for paint.

Did you have to drill out the hole on the right side of the picture? Looks like it was drilled larger?

Missed mine today... figures, get to go pick it up tommorrow, Im excited!

So what color is everyone going with?

Im going with the Dodge Ram blood red...

Yeah, what's up with that? Hope it didn't come from Showyo like that...

I got mine and it looks like that is the way they are, there suppose to be slotted holes but that one is at an angle compared to the rest being level.

I'll have to put mine on soon and see if it does the same, if so, I'm just going to get some chrome washers, probably do it no matter what to save the paint, to cover it up...

yeah thats the way it came. I figured I would have the bodyshop fill them in a little prior to painting.

What is up with this? Has anyone else gotten theirs and look like this?

I have a paypal money request from them but don't know if I really want to pay $330 if I gotta get something brand new worked on to fit properly on the bike... I don't see how the they can get one hole done properly but not the other. [confused]

Just got my cover in and fully painted! The fit isn't bad... I do have a little gap where the front bolts are... but definetely doesn't seem as noticeable as the others... the sound of the airbox is louder but I haven't noticed too much difference performance wise... here are some pics to enjoy....

Oops sorry for the double post... I'm doing this all on my phone so its dumb lol... also I forgot to say... one thing I did notice is that if you have a corbin seat then its a pain in the butt to get the seat on.. I had to bend the mounts on the seat a bit and now its fine

Hey Guys,

Enzo here from Showyo. I see some of you were concerned with the oval hole on the Ram air Covers.
It is very unfortunate that it prevents you from enjoying the beautifully made part to the fullest. However you have to understand that such play to the mouting holes is necessary or else it wouldn't fit all XB's as every single bike has minor play.
If we hadn't made the oval hole this way , the costumer have to do them himself.
The way we do it that have a gauge made of measurments of several XB's (all the same models of course but as I said there is play) then we take the rough cover and trim the lines and drill the holes so the covers will fit in all angles this said gauge and therefore all XB's.
What I will do from now on, to react to the issues I have seen here on this thread , Is that I will offer to send the Covers NOT DRILLED so the costumer will be able to drill a one shot hole directly to his specific bike's mounting holes.
If someone would'nd be ready to do this work , the option of getting the cover pre-drilled will be available.... as long as you understand that some play is inevitable.

I hope I can satisfy all your concerns related to this Awesome unit.

And yes , I now take new orders!!
On top of supplying the remaining people who had``pre-ordered`` and haven't contacted me to purchase theirs.

Do not hesitate to contact me by phone, email ...or drop by if you feel like driving to Montreal!!

Enzo - makes sense, I was wondering why it was like that! Definitely the best looking cover I have seen, will be ordering one as soon as I can! Great fix, too, for those who would rather drill it themselves.

anyone notice any increase in power with this? I imagine it would be quite small if noticeable at all.

Enzo
I had put in a pre order a few months back but unfortunately the lack of disposable funds hinders me from getting one any time soon...
:(

But I wondered (for future reference) if you were going to make any clear or translucent coloured ones to match the stock ones Buell originally offered?

Thanks again for making a great pieces of aftermarket parts for our beloved Buells
+1

:)

Hey Buddha,

don't worry we'll be ready to ship you one whenever you'll be ready.
We won't be doing any translucent cover but we can paint them for you , however if there's a paint shop near you , I strongly suggest the costumer has it done himself that way the painter can get a real good match with your bike's color.
If it's to much trouble for you to have it painted and your bike is black , I can have them painted in gloss black.

thank all you guys for paying attention to our work!

Ressurecting a dead post here! Does anyone know if showyo is still making these ram air boxes? I looked on the site but didnt see them. Guess I'll email them too and see what they say.
