hey hows everyone? got a quick question I just completed wrapping my headers a few days ago on my 04 12s and for the first time ever doing it I'm impressed how well it came out. I decided to do it with the header attached witch was no problem, but wondering if I can go without the silicone spray because I don't want to screw up and get it on the bike.

I have not done this but have done some reading on it. I believe the spray is both a protectant and glue to hold it all in place. It is part of the process, don't skip any steps. (You don't put tires on your car without then putting air in them right?) Each step is important other wise its a half ass job. As for adding the spray, get yourself a wide roll of brown paper, if you are so very concerned about getting it on the bike, wrap your entire bike up and only leave the pipes exposed. (wrap behind the pipes as well). Then you should be covered, literally.

I didnt silicone spray it. I just hit it with some header paint. As for helping it stick its fine without the silicone, it might help it from fading iono. I just figured it was Hi-Temp, or whatever brand u go with way of making an extra $16. I think header paint will work fine.

I didn't paint mine after wrapping. Now after riding it around for a week the wrap is starting to change color from black to white in some spots so I'm going to paint mine.

OK well i guess im going to end up painting it. no big deal just got to be careful make sure i got everything totally taped off. well thanks for your input appreciate it.
