My part check i been waiting for is here so i have enough cash on hand to buy an 1125r.
Realy preffer the 2008 black and Blue over the 2009 black on black.
heres my question.
I have found new at the dealer for 6495+fees=7150 and tax.
I found a used 2008 with a d&d race exhaust wich my gf likes it even though it is little on the loud side for me(but it is Dam Sexy).
has 1600 Miles the guy is asking 6500 or B.O.
If i can get him to 5500 it seems like a no brainer.
but if i am at 6k what seems like the better buy?

what would you do?
New for the extra 1k??

Buy New

Rob they have a black CR at American Harley Davidson in Ann Arbor for $6500 OTD, here is the link from the forum, sure you seen it but here it is anyway. Hell by both of them and roll out with 2 CR's for $13k almost a buy one get one free deal :D

1125 CR Link

Call 313-721-0219 and ask for JT

I agree with xtreme, I think you could find a new bike for $6500 OTD. You'll find that good deal, just look around.

Yeah like in the link I posted.[confused]

JT in Ann Arbor is trying to drop his 1125's, so snag one for super cheap.

Buy new. The dealer I bought mine from (Cycle Connection, Joplin MO) still had a new '08R when I spoke to him a few days ago. Sure they would make you a great deal, maybe even better if you tell them I sent you.

Mike Massey (aka, Dave's neighbor if you call)!

"I'd recommend an 09 due to the internal changes they made to the internals."

Kidder - do you work at the redundant department of redundancy?

That made me laugh too. :D

I say buy new also. I am glad I did. And modding it yourself is more fun than buying one that someone else started modding.

LOL. Oops, I missed that. But yes, internally they made changes internally. I had originally said motor but decided to change it. I apparently need to drink more.

OMg i about fell out of my chair i emailed ann arbor last night and got the 6500 out the door tax title and plate response.
what is the differnce between 08 and 09?
thanks

For 2009, the Buell 1125R is now available in red, white and black. Other changes include targeted fuel injectors, repositioned o2 sensors (we’re as excited about this as you are), and updated fueling maps, all of which is shared with the Buell 1125CR. All this should add up to improved driveability below 6,000rpm, sharper throttle response, and what Buell is claiming is "significantly improved fuel economy," which now stands at 39mpg city, 53mpg highway. No official figures are available for the 2008 model.
ok answerd my own question. might be headed for a ride to ann arbor today i haven't sat on a cr yet

Well i just talked to the sales manger at Gr harley
He said he won't loos a geal and i heading over there in the next 20 minutes to pick out an 09 r or cr.
thanks guy's:)

You wont be disappointed with the 1125. CR has lower gears, better for around town but the wind at high speeds will beat you up without the front fairing. Good luck with whichever you decide on. Also, those MPG numbers are way off. I am averaging 32 mpg on my CR. Almost everyone gets about the same, but I didnt buy it for MPG's...I bought it for HP, TQ, and MPH.

Ok so after 4 hours in Gr harley.
all the paper work is done just need to take them a check for 7325.62(including tax title and plate)
I road it a few miles maybe 2 tonight and i like it.
2009 Black 1125r Maybe fate since my b day is 1125 and my intial is R.
other than the cr for 6500 otd the best i found was in il. 2008 1125r for 6499+fees and prep 7150 +tax title and plate (not to mention 4 hours drive each way.
Alsothe motor clothes dept is checking to see if it is ok to sell me the bolt functional jacket for 89.95 what they had it up for before xmas

I'd like to congratulate you by saying "Congratulations"!

(Yeah, I'm on a redundantly redundant kick)
