Snagged a Select Seat off Craiglists for cheap!

Guy was selling his XB9 and was willing to part with is like new select seat for $100 + my low seat. Being that these go for around $300 in this condition on eBay I was all over it. It is FUN hunting for stuff for these bikes!

Good find! I got a tall seat for $25 which I was happy about. Now I just need to find a good deal on the original medium seat.

im actually lookin for a low seat to replace the one Im gonna send him. While it sucks for long rides it looks awesome in photos...the lines are sexy...so im looking for another one...since i like taking photos and love my XB

The low seat definitely looks great, but the tall seat is best for wheelies. It depends what kinda riding I'm gonna be doing as far as what seat I take out. I'm hoping the middle one will looks good and also be better for wheelies than the low one, then I won't have to think about it anymore.

Good price on that seat for sure! I've been one of those people bidding on those $300+ select seats on eBay recently, and loosing them all. I just got a corbin gunfighter with a buy it now for $250 and its pretty comfy. I got to agree on the low seat too, that thing is amazingly uncomfortable on long rides.

yeah, every select I've seen and tried to bid on went for at least $200 before shipping and usually alot more. I wondered everytime if I was bidding against people on buellxb

On another note, went out for 3hrs last night with the select and new HID lights....TOTAL DIFFERENT RIDE. Best money spent so far.

I just picked up a brand new low seat for $60, I need a low seat though due to being slightly vertically challenged.

I just switch from the low to the skyline seat because I have some long legs, and I cannot believe how hard the taller seat is. I'm not sure if my butt just needs some time to break the new one in, or if somehow they managed to make the low seat more cushy in less space.

What is the tall seat, any pics? What bike/ years did it come on?

This is what I refer to as the 'tall seat'. I don't know if there's actually a real name for it. It came on the first few years of the xb9sx, starting in 2005, and went through either 2006 or 2007, not sure how long they used them. Fun for wheelies and feeling super tall in traffic but it's too squishy to be that comfortable, and it sucks in summer because my ass gets way too hot because the seat is soft enough to somewhat shape around you, instead of just a hard thing to sit on like the lower seats.
