so pissed. need help and ideas please.

bike ran fine with no problems till now when im ready to head from upstate ohio to west virginia. barely starts and a little throttle helps but someitmes will not idle. i pulled the plugs and the rear seems fouled so i replaced them and it still does it. ecm spy showed it was getting proper fuel and there were no dtc's. it sounds like a ninja 250 right now and sometimes will act normal right after 3k but not always. and when it does seem ok its lacking power still. any ideas? really need help on this one.

Check battery voltage and grounds. Also make sure the spark plug wires are on good.

i changed the plugs and that didnt change anything. its just so strange when it ran perfect last night.

wires are tight and battery voltage is normal as well.

my cps signal is flashing from 0 to a red 5. does anyone know what that means?

Thats how it works, thats normal.

Its basically an on/off signal, either reads 0 volts or 5 volts depending on position of the crank.

ok. i guess im going to try new wires tomorrow. and if thats not it probably will try the coil. dreading the price of that...

Pull a wire install a plug, ground plug to bike. Crank is the spark pattern constant or is it in and out at random sometimes tere or not at all?

checked the spark and thats good as well. im going to pull the cover off the nose cone and check to see if theres any moisture in there.

figured it out. when i took the nose cone off, the timing plate screws were loose so i tightened them and timed it. it did have alittle condensation in there probably from when i washed it even at a low pressure hose. i know the old dodge 318's had that problem and every time it rained you needed a hair dryer so i used that method and bike now runs fine again. heading down to west Virginia like planned tomorrow morning. thanks for the help and effort guys. its appreciated.[up]
