I have my xb12r on stands right now, trying to do all the things I can do right now. Just replaced the front bearings, but will be tomorrow before I can tell if that solves the low speed wobble I was getting.

* Do I really need someone to push in the tensioner on the rear to remove/install the rear wheel?

* What were the factory bearing (grease seal) colors? Posted that in my hello thread, cant find the thread in my history. I had black on the front, korea IIRC, just replaced them with SKF, easy change. The rear, no slop, but red cover on the bearing.

* I got some hesitation the other day before, part throttle, probably a good time to check the grounds and coil resistance? Anything else I can do here besides grounds, wires, and the obvious? Maybe need to check plugs...

* Oh yeah, Plugs, is everything accessible if you remove the tank cover plastic to remove and replace the plugs?

Thanks all, my searches are vauge here!~

Plugs are not difficult to replace once you take the air intake off and the air box etc. Clean your throttle body, inspect your wires and plugs. I would just replace them to be honest. Go with NGK. Reset your TPS and check to see if your intake gaskets are leaking. Check out my tutorial thread from a few days ago. All you do is open a bottle of propane and point the nozzle near the intake gasket while the engine is running. If there is a change in the engine idle then you have a leak. Intake gasket leaks are a main cause for performance hindrance.

the rear axle is tapered and as you remove it (counter-clockwise) at about the 20 full-turn mark you'll have sufficient belt slack remove it and the pulley if you choose to do it that way. i always remove pulley as well and inspect it but that's just me. i believe the clay/rust colored bearings are the older style...the black colored grease seal jobs are newer style. and proper torque on both front and rear axles as listed in service manual is a must for bearing longevity. and on your spark plugs, front is readily accessible....rear not so much. i remove everything above the rear plug to access it.

Found the service manual thanks everyone!

Plugs seem hard to get to but maybe a flex joint or can a regular socket/ratchet get in there. Bike has a K&N, cleaned it, it's drying under light heat right now, yay.

I thought the manual said the ecu is up front, but I'll have to read more. Just cleaned the throttle body, and I love basic NGK's.

How do I reset the TPS? Is there an adaptation after pulling the battery? I just cleaned up the battery contacts.

Also, rear axle, no warning, remove set screws and it's the normal direction, unlike the front axle? Just want to be sure here, and I appreciate y'all! I have the clay/orange ones in the rear but they seem fine... I do have replacement SKF's here, might get to them the following weekend.
