well, I have tried to search the forum for old posts and I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but the returns never seem to match my search criteria. Anyway, I have an 08' 1125r and do not have a copy of the owners manual. I have downloaded the electrical manual and tried to download the service manual but it always fails on the service manual. The problem is on my end not the server.

What I am trying to find out is there a fuel gauge or low fuel indicator light or anything. I've toggled through the display's multiple screens and found actual mpg reference, but nothing like mileage remaining or fuel level. The indicators illuminate for bulb verification but go out before I recognize anything that would indicate low fuel. (okay, I'm slow) any help would be appreciated as I want to ride back and forth to work and part of my trip is on little traveled country roads which would really suck to run out of gas on.
Thanks,
John

There is a low fuel light up with the high beam indicator and engine warning indicator. But there is no miles till empty. From what im seeing its approximately 150ish miles to a tank till the light comes on and 20 miles top with the light on.

It always averaged 38-40 mpg commuting, 30 if I ran it hard. At 100 mph, the instant mpg should be right at 26 mpg. You should get 140+ miles out of it before the light comes on, you have about 15 miles left if you ride it sensibly when it does. Longest I ever made it was 175 miles on a tank, but I rode it like a pansy to see how far I could stretch it out.
When the low fuel light comes on, it will also switch to the reserve count down miles. On occasion, right around 130 miles if I stopped and shut it off, it would have the low fuel light come on, but go back off within a mile of starting up again. That was my marker that I had roughly 25-30 miles left and I could make it home from work without stopping for fuel. It NEVER got ran dry, most I ever put in was 4.7 gallons. The light comes on at roughly 4.3 or 4.4 gallons.
