I have noticed that buell made a change to their spark plugs for 08-up XB's. I have an 08 XB12SCG.
The old part number is 10R12A
The new part number is 10R12X
Anybody know what the difrence is?
On the parts catalogue it says it has improved anti-fouling design....don't know what that means in terms of spark plug design though, since there are many ways to improve anti-fouling.
Also, anybody know what material they are? Platinum/double platinum/triple platinum/Iridium?
Secondly, I have heard many people recomend switching to NGK Iridiums, part# DCPR9EIX, but NGK recomends DCPR8EIX.
I have ben thinking of doing this but would like to know all aspects before hand.
Any reason why everbody seems to go with the colder plug?
Thanks,
Lando
