I'm having electrical issues like 2003buellxb9s from "pop pop boom part 2"
I've got the plug wires here at work to test continuity, but physically they are troubling me. To start with since doing a couple plug changes on this bike, the front wire's interior metal contact cap is a bitch to get onto the plug when the plug is secured in the head. Once it's on, the rubber exterior of the cable seems too short, exposing the metal cap and tweaking sideways in an effort to reach the coil with it's short length. The rear plug wire seems jacked up since the contact cap for that plug is way up inside the rubber boot, to the point were it engulfs whats exposed of the plug from the head, and I'm not sure makes complete contact inside.
Has someone switched the plug wires I'm thinking? Can someone verify that they should indeed be physically different lengths, and the longer goes to the rear cylinder? Any help is appreciated.
EDIT: I see they extend now that I'm looking at them, on the plug end the rubber boot is separate and slides up and down, the coil end is solid.
