Spark plugs

NGK iridium plugs in heat range 8 or 9 are commonly recommended. I would suggest you do a little searching. All of these questions you are asking in every thread you start are right here in the forum.

Welcome! Check out the info here:) Lots to learn about you new bike.

NGK DCPR8EIX works great (#6546 if you go to an auto parts store and ask about them). A lot of people think they should go 1 step colder and use a 9 heat range, but I dont agree. Stick with stock heat range unless you're adding forced induction or raising the compression.

Ok cool it is stock and has the harley 10r12a in it now

Thats correct. Different manufacturers use a different number scale for heat range. The stock 10r12a is equivalent to the NGK dcpr8e. I recommend adding the ix suffix to get the iridium version.

Awsome the more I can stay away from the dealer the better and I already use ngk in everything I drive or push so I am already brand loyal

This helps me as ell. I need to do plugs and my other vehicle doesn't even have spark plugs...

If I recall correctly, I am using some DCPR9E. So non iridium. As far as I know, it does not change much to have some iridium plugs while the cost a lot more. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong !

doesnt change much. Iridium resists fouling better and last longer without needing to be changed.

It's a spark plug. Should last a very long time.

Still resist fouling better which is an issue for some people that like to start their bikes and shut them off without letting them warm up. Use them, dont use them, I dont care but just passing along info. Ive read several SAE papers about them. Its not just marketing.

Hey kona I'm listening. All responses do not go on deaf ears. I want all opinions and responses. As long as there not wrong lmao

If your bike is tuned and tuned right you don't need special spark plugs. Iv'e been doing this stuff 55 years and never had a plug fouling problem due to an inferior spark plug.
