Hello
I have a serious speed wobble on my 05 xb9, when doing 180kph
never done such a thing, this happen when I replace the front tire, it's my 4º front tire
I've changed wheel bearings, head bearings, rechecked the wheel balancing, the only thing I'm missing doing is the swing arm bearings
What you guys think, is there any other thing I can do?

Have you ever laid the bike down? Even knocked it over? I had a slow fall over in a parking lot. I had a wobble around 55-60 mph. Some one suggested that my forks might be bent oven if I couldn't see it. May be just twisted in the clamps. So I lifted the front so it is not supported by the front suspension at all. the just loosened the lower triple clamps and re-torqued to specs. My wobble has gone away at that speed. Might work for you and it is free.

no close encounter whit the pavement
but did that when checked the steering bearings, I completely dismantle the front end
she was violently crashed, but that was 3 years ago, and she's been fine so far [confused]

Could be a bad tire if you've checked everything else.

There's a loosen/tighten step in the wheel mounting process.

Also, keep a loose grip on the bars at that speed. You could be fighting yourself.

also check your suspension settings. if you've put the tail lift on, it changes the weight distribution.

I suppose I can redo the suspension, no tail lift "yet"
My money is in a bent rim, when the tire was fitted, it's to strange for this to happen just when the tire was changed
I cant loose my grip match more, or I'll fly off :D
Thanks guys for your help

Removed one degree on the rear preload and it's better, the swing arm bearings are excellent but change then all the same
If increasing the trail is the solution, must think one better than lowering the rear :(

also check your suspension settings. if you've put the tail lift on, it changes the weight distribution.

So if I have a lifted lightning tail on my bolt what suspension guidelines should i follow??

did you have any problems getting the axle out or bearings off during tear down?
None what so ever
One thing I've learned was to lube the axle and bearings, the first time I've removed the front wheel the axle was welded to the bearings, it was a pain to remove, very VERY difficult not to destroy something.
This one was smooth as silk :D

Update, the preload setting did not resolve the problem, now I have the wobble at 190 kph what the hell is going on [confused]
Any more ideas, can it be the ginormous headlights I have??? any one has a firebolt fairing setup to sell? [smirk]
